Rx Checklist

  • Indicate: Digital Printed Denture and if you would like Standard, Premium or Elite.
  • Ensure Stage selected as: bite rim, try-in, digital mock-up, finish final.
  • Indicate Mould: Square, Square Tapering, Square Ovoid, Square Tapering, Tapering Ovoid, Ovoid, Square Tapering Ovoid.
  • Include Shade System - provide both Tooth Shade and Gingival Shade.
  • Include any additional instructions to the lab (ie. Existing denture changes such as open VDO by 2mm, rugae, stipple, etc.).

Try-In Checklist

  • Adjust sharp spots or pressure points.
  • Check the retention.
  • Is the VDO correct?
  • Check and adjust occlusion as needed.
  • Check for any overextended areas (grind down and adjust as needed).
  • Is the midline correct?
  • Check the lip support (check “sh” sound).
  • Check incisal edge position (check “F” and “V” sounds).
  • Are the teeth too high or low?
  • Is there a cant?
  • Do teeth on either side need to be adjusted up or down?
  • Are all adjustments in mm?

Photos Needed for All Workflows:

Full Face Smiling, Full Face Lips at Rest, Profile and Retracted in Occlusion

APPOINTMENT 1

  • Scan both the upper & lower arches with a bite prior to extractions
  • Remember to capture the palate, buccal and lingual extensions

APPOINTMENT 2

  • Deliver Immediate Denture
  • Refer to “Reference Denture” Workflow after healing and new denture is needed

APPOINTMENT 1

  • Take a complete scan of the existing prosthetic extra orally (outside of the mouth) after performing a light/medium body wash
  • Scan opposing arch
  • Re-insert prosthetic, including wash, before capturing the bite​

APPOINTMENT 2

  • Deliver Final Denture

APPOINTMENT 1

  • Take light/medium body wash on existing denture(s), Verify VDO and notify Leixir of any desired changes
  • Take a complete scan of the existing prosthetic extra orally (outside of the mouth)
  • Scan opposing arch
  • Re-insert prosthetic, including wash, before capturing the bite

APPOINTMENT 2

(OPTIONAL IF NEEDED BUT RECOMMEND IF SUBSTANTIAL CHANGES ARE PROPOSED)

  • Deliver Monolithic Try-in
  • Try-in-can be used as a custom tray & can be used to verify VDO, mid-line & occlusion
  • Scan Monolithic back to the lab with notated adjustments
  • Take photos if needed

APPOINTMENT 3

  • Deliver Final Denture

APPOINTMENT 1

  • OPTION 1: Take scan of edentulous arch(s) and Leixir will send a wax rim
  • OPTION 2: Take scan of edentulous arch(s) and use a putty matrix/wax rim to establish jaw relation VDO, mark mid-line and scan open open posterior bite.
    Using this method, you will go to APPT #3

APPOINTMENT 2

(IF LEIXIR SENT A WAX RIM)

  • Follow standard procedures for capturing landmarks and dimensions
  • Scan wax rim with wash and send digitally OR physically mail back the wax rim to Leixir and we will re-digitize

APPOINTMENT 3

  • Evaluate try-in (VDO, mid-line, etc)
  • Notate any necessary changes
  • Perform wash impression if it is not ideal (wash impression is required in the try-in if you utilized the putty matrix in option 1)
  • Take a complete scan of Monolithic Try-In and scan bite

APPOINTMENT 4

  • Deliver Final Denture
